2023 05 12
On May ORO NAVIGACIJA held three international meetings that were focused on enhancing the mutual cooperation of neighbouring countries!
The ATM sector in the region is facing a lot of challenges - both political and operational and it is very important to act together and have efficient ways of addressing traffic loss and traffic recovery, contingency planning and its implementation both at state and cross-boarder level.
We are particularly glad that ORO NAVIGACIJA CEO Saulius Batavicius meeting invitation was accepted by Uksatse, Ukraine’s ANSP Andriy Yarmak, the UkSATSE director and Volodymyr Chalyk, Deputy Head of ATM department shared their experience in contingency management in the period of 2014-2023, under particular political circumstances that we all know.
The events’ participants exchanged their views on various aspects of contingency: technological, operational, legal, cyber security, social, financial. We all emphasised the need to have close collaboration with all aviation sector stakeholders – states, NSA, militaries, airlines , airports.
We would like to express gratitude to our guests of Estonian Air Navigation Services (EANS)/Lennuliiklusteeninduse AS, LFV Air Navigation Services of Sweden, Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme (LGS), Latvian CAA, Polands CAA, TKA, the Lithuanian Air Force, Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania, Ministry of Transport and Communications, their great contribution!
We have no doubt that such meetings will enhance international cooperation even further and will enable us to jointly achieve the set goals.
