To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Company improves energy efficiency, transitions to more sustainable solutions, and deploys advanced air traffic management measures that help lower fuel consumption and reduce the environmental impact of flights.

Actions, Measures, and Achievements

To enable airspace users to reduce emissions and operate more efficiently, Oro Navigacija implements the following solutions:

• Free Route Airspace has been implemented, allowing aircraft to plan more direct and efficient routes, reducing flight distances, fuel consumption, and emissions.
• Flight trajectories are continuously optimised using advanced air traffic management solutions and data analytics, reducing unnecessary deviations and improving flight efficiency.
• Air traffic flow management is improved by reducing delays both in the air and around airports, thereby lowering additional fuel consumption and emissions.
• Solutions developed and implemented through European initiatives, including the SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) programme, are applied to advance air traffic management practices.
